Our Founder & Director
Christy Conduff grew up in a musical family and directed her first adult church choir at the age of 16. She has continued directing in a wide variety of church settings most of her life. She has been a music teacher since receiving her BME from Southwest Missouri Baptist University with a dual emphasis in vocal performance and conducting. Christy recently retired from teaching music in the Moriarty/Edgewood and Estancia school districts. She remains a much sought after clinician and adjudicator by many school districts throughout the state. Christy has a dynamic sense of style and energy that enables singers of all abilities to create a beautiful, heartfelt and transformative sound. Christy recently received the “SPROUT” award from the New Mexico Interfaith Power and Light Council for raising awareness about caring for the earth and addressing climate change. She was also a finalist for the Baha’i Faith’s “Light of Unity” award for 2017.
We are very pleased and fortunate to have Denise Baccadutre as our accompanist! “Ms. B” received her BA in Vocal Music and Music Education from Wichita State University. After teaching music in Kansas, she moved to Moriarty, New Mexico, where she taught choir and piano and received her MA in Educational Administration. Denise became a school administrator prior to returning to teach music, eventually retiring after 25 years. Ms. B. recently retired again after teaching music at the Estancia Valley Classical Academy.
